Spring 2023 had a number of trips, mostly UK based, to visit family and events.
We kicked off with a trip to Loughborough to the youngest play Hockey and take in some of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Whilst there we looked up my old University halls that I hadn’t seen for 30 years (they looked exactly the same!) and drove around the Peak District and another old haunt, Buxton.
We stayed in a number of hotels and two are worth mentioning, the Buxton Crescent Hotel, which a lovely place with a refurbished spa and the delightful Callow Hall.
In April we had a trip to Goodwood for the Members Meeting and then a weekend trip to Locquirec in Brittany to blow the cobwebs away from the car. We stayed in this tiny fishing village at the charming Grand Hotel des Bains, right on the rocks looking across the sea.
