February 2019 and the weather at home was always going to be foul. Mid way through winter and it was time for a break and we were able to staisfy our wonderlust and desire to visit Bequia, an island in St Vincent & The Grenadines that is only 5 miles by 2 miles, but that we had been told, was like the old Caribbean.
We weren’t disappointed. The island is wonderful and the people so friendly.
We stayed at the Bequia Beach Hotel, which is perfectly located in Friendship Bay. A lovely sweeping beach where the Atlantic rollers came in was a perfect place to start every day with a relaxing walk after breakfast. We had decided to eat out of the hotel as much as possible and the island is full of unique and interesting places to eat. The taxi services offered by Garvin and Jensen was excellent and great value.
We will definitely go back. Just for much longer next time.
